American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular OR Surgical Tech (CST/CVOR) with at least 2 years of Level 1 or 2 trauma OR experience and proficiency in Neuro, Ortho, ENT, Trauma, and Robotics cases.

Hospital Surgical Services department with 12 ORs, 20 Pre-Op bays, and 14 PACU bays

Surgical patient population including Urology, Neuro, Ortho, Robotic, General, Podiatry, and ENT cases

Patient ratios: OR 1:1, Pre-Op 1:2, PACU Phase I 1:1 or 1:2 (acuity-based), PACU Phase II 1:2–3

8-hour variable shifts, 40 hours per week
-
Weekend rotation every 3rd weekend
-
On-call requirements include one overnight per week (7p–7a) and every 3rd weekend Friday 1500 through Monday 0700; call needs are subject to change based on department needs

15-minute on-call response time required

May float to Central Sterile Processing as needed

Active SD or Compact RN license currently in hand

CST candidates: BLS required; CST-NBSTSA certification preferred; associate degree in a healthcare-related field or graduation from an accredited surgical tech program (not required if nationally certified)

SFA candidates: BLS required; must hold one of the following certifications: CSFA (NBSTSA or NCCSA), SA-C, CSA, or CRNFA (ASBA); associate degree in a healthcare-related field required

Minimum 2 years of OR experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center

Proficiency in Neuro, Ortho, ENT, Trauma, and Robotics case types required

Da Vinci XI robotic and craniotomy experience required for Trauma cases
-
Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
-
Two professional references dated within the past year required for consideration
-
DOB and SSN required for consideration
-
Surgical team includes RNs, First Assists, Surgical Techs, Nurse Clinicians, CRNs, Service Line Leads, HUCs, Schedulers, Preference Card Analysts, OR Techs, and Anesthesia

Facility orientation and unit orientation span approximately 1 week
-
Holiday coverage required for 2 out of 4 major holidays

Time off requests should be directed to the unit manager; low-census voluntary time off (without pay) may be available

Scrubs are provided by the facility
