Job Summary
This is a Local position. Must have a flexible schedule. We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and adherence to all DOT traffic regulations. Must be able to pass a background check and clean MVR for at least 3 years.
Responsibilities
- Operate delivery vehicles (26 ft truck) to transport goods to designated locations.
- Ensure timely delivery of products while following assigned routes.
- Perform routine DOT inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Load and unload goods, utilizing equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Communicate with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs and receipts.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns during the delivery process.
- Follow all DOT safety protocols and regulations while on the road.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and route navigation.
- Experience operating pallet jacks, or similar equipment is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage deliveries efficiently.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
