Position: Veterinary Assistant/Technician
Employment Type: Full-Time (Part-Time Considered)

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and motivated Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about animal welfare, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to providing exceptional patient care and outstanding client service.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.
- Safely and compassionately restrain and handle animals.
- Collect laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostics.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
- Prepare and maintain surgical suites and treatment areas.
- Perform and assist with veterinary dental cleanings, including patient preparation, dental charting, scaling, polishing, and instrument care in accordance with hospital protocols and state regulations.
- Monitor hospitalized patients and provide quality nursing care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.
- Educate clients on preventive care, medications, and treatment plans.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician preferred.
- Veterinary Technician certification/licensure is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of veterinary dental cleaning procedures, including scaling, polishing, dental charting, and proper instrument maintenance, is preferred but not necessary.
- Excellent communication and client service skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
