This position is located at Bellefontaine Habilitation Center, 10695 Bellefontaine Rd., Saint Louis, MO 63137. This position splits time between Bellefontaine Habilitation Center and Saint Charles Habilitation Center. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with Saturday/Sunday/Holidays off.
You will be working with staff who enjoy caring for persons who are impacted by a mental illness or developmental disability. You can make a difference in the lives of our consumers so they too have the opportunity to pursue their dreams, live their lives to the fullest, and be a valued member of their community.
Responsibilities - What you’ll do
Completes nutritional assessments of consumers; obtains and reviews diet histories; develops individual nutrition plans: and evaluates and documents diet changes and nutritional progress. Plans menus for standard and modified diets according to basic dietetic principles; assists in directing the preparation and service of food. Maintains sanitation and safety standards in the preparation, service, and storage of foods. Observes consumers during meal service, and checks on food waste and leftovers, to identify whether modifications need to be made to individual diets, menus, and/or portion control techniques. Participates in the quality improvement program in dietetic services. Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss individual plans of care. Prepares educational materials and provides nutritional instruction to consumers and staff. Maintains records and prepares reports.
Qualifications - All you need for success
Possession of a current license to practice as a Dietitian in the State of Missouri.
