Duties
- Safely operate tow trucks, including flatbed and other specialized models, to recover and transport vehicles of various sizes and types.
- Securely load and unload vehicles onto tow trucks following cargo securement protocols to prevent damage during transit.
- Perform basic mechanical vehicle troubleshooting and minor repairs to assist with on-site issues or prepare vehicles for transport.
- Conduct automotive diagnostics and minor mechanical repairs to ensure vehicles are safe for towing or delivery.
- Follow all safety procedures related to vehicle recovery towing, cargo securement, and safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks.
- Maintain detailed logs of all towing activities, vehicle conditions, and incident reports for accountability and compliance.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining services professionally, and managing conflicts effectively when needed.
Skills
- Proven experience with automotive diagnostics, automotive repair, and basic vehicle troubleshooting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle mechanics suitable for truck drivers and tow truck operations.
- Valid licscence
- Expertise in cargo securement protocols, safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks, and vehicle recovery towing techniques.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, manual transmission proficiency, and adherence to traffic laws.
- Ability to manage conflict professionally while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
- Knowledge of car towing procedures, vehicle mechanics for truck drivers, and load & unload operations.
