1. Research and assist in developing plans for expanding Barnabas Centers’ presence in Nassau County with a focus on west Nassau County.
2. Work as part of the resource development team to identify and recruit potential individuals, business, school, faith-based, nonprofit and other organizational partners with a focus on Nassau County. Conduct ongoing research and evaluation and cultivate those prospects that best align with Barnabas Centers 18 month to 3-year strategic framework, as well as short- and long-term priorities and needs.
3. Work with Barnabas Center Leadership Team to develop and implement a comprehensive community outreach plan to raise community awareness about Barnabas Center targeting individual, private, business, school and other organizations. Establish SMART performance goals; collect data, track and monitor progress toward the goals; and adjust goals and strategies accordingly.
4. Coordinate and make presentations to the community to educate groups regarding Barnabas Center and its programs and services.
5. Serve as an ambassador for the mission of Barnabas Center in the community; and maintain a formal Ambassadors program that recruits, trains and manages volunteers as official representatives of the agency who can represent the agency at community events, speaking engagements, etc.
6. Coordinate feedback for volunteers, schedule annual surveys to gauge success and opportunities.
7. Coordinate volunteer activity through on-going communication, including maintaining electronic database, volunteer recognition (ongoing and annually), written communication, website, community events to include Empty Bowls and other outreach events (railroad days, paint parties) etc.
8. Maintain and track volunteer hours for all programs.
9. Prepare and maintain reports submitted to the President & CEO and Leadership Team.
10. Other duties as assigned, required.
