AlphaCare Home Health is a home care agency located in Northern, Virginia. Our purpose is to provide compassionate, high-quality, and personalized services for those in need of residential care. We are actively seeking a compassionate and dependable personal care aide to provide high-quality non-medical care to a client in their home. This is a part-time position with a consistent schedule ideal for someone looking to pick up extra hours.
***Responsibilities:
- Assisting with daily living activities such as grooming and hygiene, including bathing, dressing and oral care.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Document care provided and maintain accurate client records and communicate effectively with the care team
- Follow client-specific care plans and report any changes in condition to the administrator, RN and supervisor
- Work with administrative and supervisory personnel regarding home care visits to ensure high quality and proper client care is performed
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the administrator, RN and supervisor
- Provide attention to clients’ non-medical needs, including companionship and social engagement
- Assist client with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and medication reminders
- Establish communication and a professional relationship with clients, family members, and co-workers
- Provide reliable care by being punctual and consistently covering shift
***Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of in-home care experience (PCA, CNA, or Companion)
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, professional care
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and assisting clients with mobility, personal grooming and hygiene.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Must complete a criminal background check
- Current CPR certification
- Reliable transportation
