Job Posting: Outpatient Therapist

Additionally, we have a growing waitlist for individuals for EMDR, trauma therapy, and perinatal therapy - EMDR, trauma focused, and/or perinatal therapists highly encouraged to apply!
Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed therapist with at least one year of clinical experience. The ideal candidate will maintain a minimum caseload of 20 clients per week while contributing to a collaborative, supportive environment. This is a W2 position and pay is based on experience with opportunities to grow both financially and professionally.

While we are known for our trauma work throughout the community and it is not required that you see only clients affected by trauma; please note, that is a bulk of our referrals from various and numerous community partners and agencies and we do require that all providers be willing to practice through a trauma informed lens and have an expectation that referrals with a trauma history will be accepted.
You have the autonomy to work with adolescents, adults, couples, and/or family work - and, additionally, we receive referrals for anxiety, neurodivergency/diversity, perinatal/postpartum, depression, self harm, self esteem and self compassion, individual relationship concerns, IPV/DV, gender identity, and women's health. We simply ask you be willing to be trauma informed and trauma focused.
This role involves developing treatment plans, conducting therapy sessions, building community connections and networking, and maintaining accurate and timely documentation in compliance with industry standards.

Our in-person work takes place in our Downtown Raleigh office, located in one of the city’s prettiest historic buildings, just steps from what many of us consider the best coffee shop in the city. The office is warm, light-filled, and thoughtfully designed -including a beautiful central skylight that brings natural light into the heart of the space.

We simply ask that you show up on time, ready to work, and commit to at least 2 evenings a week.
- Consult Groups and Peer Support: Access regular case consultations, peer case reviews, and a collaborative environment.
- Administrative and Billing Support: We provide assistance in credentialing with insurance paneling, signing up for your CAQH for insurance panels, handle all claim submissions and any denials, intake paperwork, HIPPA secure email and EHR Portal Subscription, and our admin team will assist with any administrative, intake, billing questions for your clients so you can focus on the work you love.

What We Ask of Our Team
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients' mental health needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique circumstances
- Communicate proactively and directly regarding scheduling, capacity, clinical needs, and support
- Uphold the professional standards, values, and culture of the practice in all interactions - internally and throughout the community
- Provide evidence-based therapies, including behavioral therapy, trauma therapy, and crisis management techniques as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with ICD-10 coding standards that is completed within 48 hours (Progress Notes) and 5-7 days (Intake and Treatment Plans)
- Independently Networking within our Community and with Community Partners
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling
- Communicate and consult with your supervisor regularly regarding high-risk cases
- Complete safety plans when needed and document them accordingly.
- Communicate with billing representative and admin when needed via email and Slack.
- Maintain licensure required to practice counseling in the State of NC.
- Provide case management as needed to ensure clients have access to additional support and resources
- If an Associate, maintain all documentation required for supervision and with your board of licensure.
- If fully licensed, maintain all requirements for licensure in the State of NC.

Key Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Active licensure (LCMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent). Associate applications are accepted.
- Training or strong interest in trauma-focused approaches (e.g., EMDR, Safe and Sound Protocol, TF-CBT, IFS or others) in addition to other modalities utilized
- Ability to see a minimum of 20 clients per week (Full Time)
- Commitment to trauma-informed, client-centered care.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Private and secure home office with dependable internet.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Training in EMDR or other trauma informed approaches
- Interest in ongoing learning and participation in professional development opportunities.
- Two years clinical experience in a group practice outpatient therapy setting whether through internship, associate licensure, or full licensure (not required but preferred)
