Position Summary
A Field Service Technician for our Savannah branch provides service and repair for large-capacity forklifts and heavy material handling equipment at customer facilities. This role requires strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently in the field, and a commitment to delivering safe, reliable repairs that keep customer operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair large-capacity forklifts and heavy industrial lift trucks (diesel, LPG, and electric)
- Perform planned maintenance, safety inspections, and emergency repairs
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs, recommendations, and equipment status
- Complete service reports and documentation accurately and on time
- Maintain service vehicle, tools, and inventory in a professional manner
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience repairing large forklifts or heavy material handling equipment preferred
- Experience working with multiple brands of high-capacity lift trucks preferred
- Strong mechanical, electrical, diesel, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying environments
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $38.00 per hour
