Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Site Director to lead and manage the daily operations of our educational and afterschool facility. The ideal candidate will serve as the visionary leader, fostering a positive environment that promotes childhood development, safety, and engagement. As the cornerstone of our team, you will oversee staff, ensure compliance with safety standards, and create an enriching experience for children and families alike. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise staff members, including teachers, volunteers, and support personnel, ensuring high-quality service delivery aligned with educational standards.
- Oversee classroom management strategies to promote a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for children of various ages.
- Develop and implement daily schedules that incorporate early childhood education principles, recreational activities, and developmental milestones.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including first aid procedures, health regulations, and child protection policies.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and community partners through effective communication and engagement.
- Manage administrative tasks such as enrollment processes, record keeping, budgeting, and reporting to ensure smooth facility operations.
- Promote professional development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills in areas like special education, behavior management, and childhood development.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Education, Human Development, Human Services, or a related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of two years of experience working in a youth development, school-age, or early learning setting.
- Proven experience in classroom management and early childhood education settings.
- Experience supervising staff and supporting daily program operations.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain background clearance.
Certifications, Health, & Required Training:
- CPR/First Aid certification for Adults, Children, and Infants (training provided if not currently certified).
- Food Handler Permit, if applicable
- Willingness to complete and maintain required training, annual in-service training hours, and other required safety and compliance trainings.
- Bloodborne Pathogens training (training provided by the organization if not already completed).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm, positive, and effective in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong knowledge of child development theories and best practices in afterschool environments.
- Ability to implement behavior management strategies that support positive social-emotional growth.
- Excellent leadership skills with the capacity to motivate a diverse team of educators and youth workers.
- Skilled in working with children with special needs or behavioral challenges, when necessary, preferred
- Knowledge of safety procedures including first aid certification and emergency response planning.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with parents, staff, and community stakeholders.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite and CRMs, preferred
- Ability to use technology and data systems to maintain records, reports, and program information.

Pay: $32,000.00 - $36,000.00 per year
