Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Material Handler to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling, loading, unloading, and managing materials within our warehouse environment. Your proactive approach and attention to safety will ensure smooth operations, accurate order fulfillment, and optimal inventory management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in warehouse distribution, heavy equipment operation, and materials handling.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload shipments using various equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and crane systems
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately utilizing RF scanners and warehouse management systems
- Operate heavy machinery including forklifts, clamp trucks, and load & unload equipment in compliance with OSHA safety standards
- Conduct manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and materials movement within the warehouse
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency
- Support warehouse supervisors with inventory counts, stock replenishment, and documentation
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution or related logistics roles
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks safely and effectively
- Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques including manual handling and heavy lifting
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for order picking and inventory control
- Construction or mechanical experience is a plus for understanding equipment maintenance or troubleshooting
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to warehouse operations
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving processes or order picking is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in fast-paced environments

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
