Summary:
Aviation Technologies, Inc. manufactures highly engineered composite products and is a leading supplier to the aerospace industry, providing quality products used for many different aerospace applications including lightning mitigation, defense and commercial aerospace.
Responsible for performing all tasks related to filament winding and extraction and handling of raw materials.
Position Duties
Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
· Reads and adheres to all standard operating procedures according to each project or assignment.
· Develops a hands-on working knowledge of winding machines, resin mixing equipment, overhead cranes, hoists, and any other ancillary equipment required in the winding process as needed.
· Verifies and records mandrel size, fiber, resin, curing agent(s), and any other job specific materials used.
· Monitors winding process to ensure correct process parameters are taking place.
· Reports mechanical or material issues to direct supervisor immediately.
· Transports finished goods to designated finishing shop areas.
· Maintains a clean and safe work area.
· Regular and consistent attendance.
· Performs all other related duties and assignments as requested.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or the equivalent
- Familiarity with mandrels and filament winding
- Drive-in ovens, pole ovens
- Overhead cranes
- Hand tools
- Resin and raw materials
- Positive outlook and good motivation
