Position: PostgreSQL and Oracle Database Administrator with AWS
Work Location: Washington D.C. (Must be 2 days On-site from Day One)

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Install, Configure, Administer, Maintains, Develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of all varieties of databases.
- Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes; resolves database performance issues, capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues
- Formulates and implements backup procedures for all company databases
- Perform database related development as dictated by departmental or project demands
- Experience with Cloud database technologies (i.e. AWS RDS, Oracle, MS SQL, Azure).
- Strong experience with AWS Cloud products (EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda, Aurora, Dynamo DB, EMR, DMS data migration, Athena, Glue, Kinesis, SQS/SNS, etc.)
- Strong experience with the automation tools /scripting or processes
- Must have DB Concept on Security, Backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, System Copies, high availability and disaster recovery strategy, export-import, replication
- Hands-on experience with operating high-uptime Databases in both AWS and On-premises environments
- Must have experience with performance management/measurement methods, tools, and techniques
Must have Skills:
- At least 10+ years of increasing responsibility Administering, Optimizing, and maintaining PostgreSQL and Oracle
- Demonstrated skill of database operations, including backup strategy, data security and Cloud platform
- Must have AWS Cloud Database Technologies (DynamoDB, AWS CLI, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda, Aurora, EMR, DMS data migration, Athena, Glue, Kinesis, SQS/SNS, etc.)
- Strong experience in Automation tools (Puppet, Ansible)
- Expertise in AWS Cloud formation (Terraform, Kubernetes)
- Must have experience in Database Querying Languages (PostgreSQL, Oracle)
- Experience in Log Analysis, Database cloud observability/monitoring tools (Splunk, solar winds)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Information technology
