We are currently seeking a Medical Director for our expanding mental health practice / community behavioral health center.
This is primarily for the position of Medical Director. If the candidate is qualified and open, there may be opportunity for provision of psychiatric direct service, as well.
Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school and completion of an approved residency (psychiatric preferred)
- Licensed to practice medicine in state of Florida (psychiatry)
- Board-certified
- Able to travel to our office as needed.
- Strong working knowledge of general psychiatric principles and practices preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Enrolled with Medicaid and Medicare
Other Requirements:
1. Complete a background screening
2. Be authorized to work in the US.
3. Ability to work with diverse group(s) of individuals.
4. Spanish and/or Creole a plus.
5. Exceptional organizational skills.
6. Clear Medical License.
Employees of Stellar Health Services, LLC will be provided with additional training relative to the position.
Medical Director Position Job Requirements:
1. General oversight and medical direction of the behavioral health center.
2. Records custodian
3. Oversight of staff qualification and the center's adherence to standards.
4. Collaboration with Stellar Health contracted ARNP's
If applicable, Direct Service Position Tasks include:
- Assess and screen patients by conducting psychiatric evaluations, referrals and testing as needed.
- Diagnose patients.
- Prescribe and titrate medications accordingly.
- Complete all necessary documentation in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Provides medical direction to various classifications as assigned in the company's behavioral health programs.
