Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Pueblo, CO
Job Type: Full-Time | Monday - Friday | 8-hour day shifts (No weekends)
Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide high-quality patient care in a clinical setting. This role is ideal for both experienced providers and new graduates (must have an active license and prescriptive authority).
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including medical and psychosocial history
- Perform new patient consultations and routine follow-ups in collaboration with physicians
- Examine patients, record symptoms, and make diagnoses
- Order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including medications and therapeutic interventions
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation using EMR systems
- Educate patients on treatment plans and care management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
- Follow clinic protocols, HIPAA, and OSHA guidelines
- Maintain continuing education (CME) requirements per state regulations
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Active, unrestricted Colorado NP or PA license
- Open to new graduates with required licensure
- Current DEA certification required.
- Knowledge of pain management principles is strongly preferred
- EMR proficiency
