Laundry & Housekeeping Technician
Meadow View Nursing & Rehabilitation is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Laundry & Housekeeping Technician to join our team. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
In long-term care, laundry and housekeeping are more than just daily tasks — they are part of the care we provide. Clean rooms, fresh linens, organized clothing, and a well-maintained facility help protect resident dignity, infection control, and overall quality of life. Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, hallways, offices, dining areas, and other assigned spaces
- Sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing, and disinfecting surfaces
- Removing trash and keeping assigned areas clean and free of clutter
- Restocking supplies as needed
- Following proper infection control procedures and using cleaning chemicals safely
- Handling resident laundry, linens, towels, personal clothing, and facility items with care
- Sorting, washing, drying, folding, labeling, organizing, and delivering laundry to the correct resident or department
- Helping prevent lost, mixed-up, or damaged clothing by following the laundry process carefully
- Reporting damaged clothing, missing items, equipment issues, safety concerns, or maintenance needs to the supervisor
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization in laundry and housekeeping work areas
- Respecting resident privacy, dignity, and personal belongings at all times
- Communicating professionally with residents, family members, coworkers, and leadership
- Supporting the team when extra help is needed in either housekeeping or laundry
- Completing assigned duties in a timely and consistent manner

Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping, laundry, janitorial, hospitality, or healthcare experience is preferred, but not required
- Long-term care or skilled nursing facility experience is a plus
- Must be able to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks
- Must be reliable and able to maintain good attendance
- Must be able to communicate respectfully and professionally
- Must be able to pass facility hiring requirements, including background screening as applicable
Work Environment
This position is located in a skilled nursing/long-term care setting. Team members will interact with residents, families, visitors, and staff throughout the day. The role requires professionalism, compassion, and a strong commitment to cleanliness and resident care.
