Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision, consistency, and flair, ensuring high-quality standards are met at all times
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on dish presentation and ingredient selection to enhance guest satisfaction
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations and company policies
- Handle food with care, utilizing proper knife skills and food handling techniques to ensure safety and efficiency
- Support food preparation activities such as chopping, marinating, portioning, and plating to streamline kitchen operations
- Collaborate with team members during catering events or special functions to deliver exceptional service and presentation
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies for smooth kitchen flow
Requirements
- Proven experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
- Prior experience in restaurant or fine dining kitchens demonstrating strong food preparation and cooking skills
- Knowledge of food industry standards including food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation practices
- Skilled in menu planning, meal preparation, and executing diverse culinary techniques
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in food service operations within a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to support collaborative kitchen efforts
