Our client, a well-established law firm, is seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to provide high-level administrative support in a fast-paced legal environment. This position is best suited for a seasoned administrative professional who has demonstrated success supporting attorneys, managing confidential information, and producing accurate legal documents with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a high-volume telephone system while maintaining a professional and client-focused demeanor
- Screen, prioritize, and route incoming communications efficiently and accurately
- Coordinate attorney calendars, schedule appointments, and manage deadlines
- Prepare, proofread, and format legal correspondence, pleadings, and other documents using digital dictation software
- Maintain organized physical and electronic client files in accordance with office procedures
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Support attorneys with daily administrative functions, document management, and workflow prioritization
- Ensure all work is completed accurately, efficiently, and within established deadlines
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of recent legal administrative assistant, legal secretary, or law firm support experience
- Demonstrated experience supporting attorneys in a professional legal environment
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, including formatting complex documents
- Exceptional attention to detail with a proven track record of producing accurate work
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and require minimal direction
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and dependability
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in litigation, family law, estate planning, or other legal practice areas
- Familiarity with legal terminology, court filings, and legal document preparation
- Experience with legal case management and document management software
