Join our team as a Caregiver at one of our Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFE). We are seeking compassionate individuals who are dedicated to providing exceptional care to seniors.
Key Responsibilities:
Assistance with Activities of Daily Living: Provide assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility as needed.
Medication Reminders: Assist residents with medication reminders and medication administration under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks according to residents' dietary needs and preferences.
Social Engagement: Engage residents in meaningful activities and conversations to promote socialization and mental stimulation.
Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as tidying residents' rooms, doing laundry, and maintaining cleanliness in common areas.
Monitoring Health and Well-being: Observe and report any changes in residents' health or behavior to the nursing staff.
Resident Safety: Ensure a safe environment for residents by following safety protocols and assisting with fall prevention measures.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with other team members.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a caregiver in a senior care setting preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain).
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine interest in caring for seniors.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
- Must be available to work daytime hours, including weekends and holidays.
