American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week night shift travel contract in New Braunfels, TX, requiring BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.

Work setting is a hospital-based Emergency Care Center (ECC)

Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

13-week contract duration

Minimum 1 year of experience in emergency nursing preferred

Active TX or Compact RN license required

Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required — must not be expired

Minimum 1 year of experience in emergency or related nursing specialty

BSN preferred

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates

SSN required for consideration

Provides routine and complex nursing care using the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation

Administers medications and treatments per protocol and monitors for side effects and effectiveness

Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families

Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
-
Assesses patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education

Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as needed

All newly hired RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days

New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member with competency validation completed for both general organizational and ED-specific requirements
