Job Summary
CDL Class A Flatbed / Moffett Driver, This energetic position involves safely operating flatbed trucks equipped with Moffett forklifts to transport and pick-up materials efficiently. Your expertise in commercial driving and equipment handling will ensure smooth daily operations while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards.
Duties
- Safely operate CDL Class A flatbed trucks with Moffett forklifts, ensuring secure transport of materials across designated routes
- Load and unload materials using flatbeds, Moffett forklifts
- Comply with all DOT (Department of Transportation), state transportation, hazardous materials regulations, and air brake requirements during daily operations
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and equipment to identify mechanical issues and ensure vehicle safety
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance in accordance with federal and state regulations
- Deliver materials to municipal waste facilities or other designated locations while providing excellent customer service
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and relevant endorsements for flatbed, air brake, and hazardous materials (if applicable)
- Proven experience operating flatbed trucks, Moffett forklifts, rear loader trucks, front loader trucks, or roll-off trucks in a commercial setting
- Experience driving manual transmission vehicles preferred but not required; training available for qualified candidates
- Excellent defensive driving skills with a focus on safety at all times
- Ability to load & unload cargo accurately while adhering to safety standards
