Act as the primary telephone operator for the office.

Update the established patient’s demographics as needed and yearly.

Scan insurance cards and photo ID.
-
Check in patients for office encounters.
-
Collect money due on account from patients.
-
Verify referrals were obtained for each patient office visit and update.
-
Check out patients and schedule next appointment.
-
Review the encounter and print all orders for the patient.
-
Print the patient summary.
-
Balance charges/payments at the end of the day.
-
Prepare deposit envelopes for the business office daily.
-
Open all mail received, including interoffice mail, sort appropriately.

Maintain work area and lobby in neat and orderly fashion.

Schedule office related appointments.

Translate to/from English and Spanish as it pertains to your job responsibilities.

All other duties as assigned.

Familiarity with office machines (i.e. fax, printer, etc.)

Fluent in English (oral and written)
