What You'll Do
- Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer with a flatbed trailer.
- Deliver steel and metal products to customer locations throughout the region.
- Inspect and verify materials before transport.
- Secure loads using chains and straps in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain DOT logs and required documentation.
- Assist with unloading materials when necessary.
- Represent Siskin Steel professionally while serving our customers.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Safe driving record
- Ability to meet DOT requirements
- Flatbed experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical duties associated with securing and delivering loads
- Strong attention to safety and customer service
Physical Requirements
This position requires:
- Climbing on and off trailers and truck cabs
- Lifting up to 50 pounds routinely
- Securing loads with chains and straps
- Standing, bending, squatting, and walking on uneven surfaces
- Operating a tractor-trailer for extended periods
