Patrol Officer (Residential Community)(Overnight)
Schedule:
Saturday – Wednesday | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Position Summary:
The Courtesy Patrol Officer is responsible for securing and monitoring multiple client properties throughout Irvine. This position requires active patrol, prompt response to dispatch calls, and consistent documentation using company-provided software.
Security Officers assigned to a large appartment community serve as Courtesy Patrol Officers (CPs) and are expected to maintain a visible, professional presence while supporting residents, property management, and dispatch operations.
Key Responsibilities
Patrol & Property Security

Conduct mobile patrols of multiple assigned locations

Perform gate openings and closures, lock-ups, and door checks

Monitor properties for suspicious activity, trespassers, noise disturbances, and safety concerns

Address trespassers in accordance with company policy

Maintain a visible and professional presence at all times
Dispatch & Response

Respond promptly to noise complaints, trespassers, and other service calls

Maintain consistent communication with Gardens Dispatch

Respond to both dispatch-assigned and system-generated tasks

Complete a minimum of two tasks per hour (or one task every 30 minutes) per client standards
Reporting & Documentation

Complete Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and Incident Reports using Silvertrac on a company-issued device

Accurately document all patrol activity, incidents, and responses in real time

Maintain clear, detailed, and professional written reports
Support & Team Coordination

Assist Field Supervisors as needed

Maintain professional communication with residents, management, and dispatch

Follow all company and client policies and procedures
Work Environment
This position involves continuous patrol of a residential community and responding to active calls for service. Officers must remain alert, professional, and proactive throughout their shift while maintaining a strong security presence.
Minimum Requirements

Must possess an active BSIS Guard Card

Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Must have reliable transportation

Must demonstrate strong customer service skills

Must have strong verbal and written communication skills

Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English

Must pass a background check and random drug testing

Fair Housing training is preferred but not required
