Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and experienced Local Operators to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will operate your own 26" box truck to deliver freight efficiently and safely across local routes. You will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining vehicle safety standards, and providing exceptional service to our customers. MUST HAVE OWN 26' BOX TRUCK , DOT AUTHORITY & INSURANCE .
Duties
- Safely operate box trucks
- Load and unload freight using manual methods, ensuring cargo integrity and safety.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Drive on designated local routes, adhering to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Manage route planning to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency while maintaining punctuality.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in box truck driving
- Prior experience handling scanners & store delivery a plus
- Knowledge of freight loading/unloading procedures and safety protocols
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and commercial driving requirements for local operations.
- Delivery driver experience involving SCANNING , load management, route optimization, and customer service is highly valued.
