Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Accountant to oversee operational financial planning and cash flow management. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the company’s financial operations and daily collaboration with cross-functional teams. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Controller and work closely with the Controller and senior management team members.
Responsibilities
* Maintain daily financial records using NetSuite, QuickBooks, and other accounting software, including month-end closing activities.
* Prepare accurate accounting reports and present financial results, including Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
* Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, investor debt, and loan schedules.
* Establish and maintain daily accounting department operations. Assign tasks and projects to team members as directed by the Controller.
* Conduct variance analysis and reporting for sales revenue/costs, operating expenses, and cash flow. Perform special analyses to evaluate how business decisions and circumstances impact company goals.
* Research and develop an in-depth understanding of various sales programs. Collaborate with different departments on budgeting, cost analysis, and financial matters.
* Implement and document standard operating procedures (SOPs), report issues to the Controller, and assist in process improvements when necessary.
* Review financial and accounting-related documents.
* Develop or improve standardized accounting and reporting templates to support current and future business needs.
* Enhance the organization’s accounting and reporting functions to improve timeliness, quality, and clarity.

Qualifications
* 5+ years of accounting experience or experience in a similar role preferred
* Experience with NetSuite preferred
* E-commerce accounting experience preferred
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred
* Strong Excel skills and ability to solve problems using highly quantitative methods
* Reliable, responsive, professional, and capable of multitasking
* Ability to proactively identify incomplete or inaccurate data and effectively investigate and resolve issues
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and resolve complex business problems while minimizing financial reporting risks
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese required

$5,000 – $6,000 per month
