About the Organization: As a member of Feeding America and a United Way Member Agency, Feeding the Gulf Coast works through member organizations and special programs to provide nutritious food to meet the challenge of feeding people who are hungry as a result of systemic poverty, personal crisis, or disaster. Additionally, Feeding the Gulf Coast educates the public regarding domestic hunger, proper nutrition and other related issues. Feeding the Gulf Coast serves a 24-county area spanning south Alabama, south Mississippi, and the Florida Panhandle.
Summary: Oversees the sourcing and procurement of food products to maintain a diverse inventory, ensuring consistency and availability for distribution. Responsible for advising on FTGC's overall food sourcing plan and providing reports and analyses to support it. Responsible for maintaining clean record-keeping and submitting invoices in accordance with Feeding the Gulf Coast’s accounting standards. Support inventory accountability via cycle counts and monthly inventory, etc. Ensure compliance with all FTGC, USDA, Feeding America, AIB, and other required compliance standards.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Acquires food and non-food products as budgeted to provide balanced options for distribution across the tri-state service area
- Manages the inventory intake process, including scheduling of inbound logistics
- Ensure compliance with all FTGC, USDA, Feeding America, AIB, and other required compliance standards
- Prepares Government Commodities including Temporary Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) and Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) required paperwork and reports and collaborates with colleagues to ensure compliance with product handling requirements.
- Conducts frequent data analysis related to procurement, inventory, and additional measures and metrics intended to inform KPIs. Responsible for preparing data driven visual aids to inform Leadership.
- Conduct periodic inventory, cycle counts. and other inventory spot checks, tracking consistency and product turns.
- Collaborates with Leadership to set pricing, product limits, and controls.
- Identifies and ensures appropriate allocation of fair share products.
- Responsible for compliance with food sourcing grant requirements, including adherence to the budget, quoting product as required, and complying with reporting and distribution guidelines
- Responsible for all product recall processes and procedures, including maintaining records of relevant product recall notices.
- Proficiency in data management and analytical software, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables), Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Sheets), Looker Studio, Crystal Reports, Tableau, and ERP systems.

Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Gmail and also have knowledge of Excel (pivot tables), Google Sheets, Data Studio, Crystal Reports, Tableau, and Enterprise Resource Planning Software (Primarius 2)
Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B. S.) or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates and Licenses:Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company insurance requirements

Pay: $48,000.00 per year
