Job Summary
Manage a 5,000 sq. ft warehouse and perform pick-up and deliveries with a Bluestone truck. Duties include:
· inventory of supplies
· ordering supplies
· checking deliveries for accuracy
· storing supplies
· picking-up supplies from dealer
· cleaning and repairing equipment
· placing construction and special waste into dumpsters
· driving to job sites to deliver supplies and load project waste into trucks
· coordinating vehicle maintenance and repairs
· picking up permits from various municipalities
· cleaning the warehouse
Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility will be to help the supervisors load their vans with equipment and supplies that they will need for their projects. During the workday, you will likely be contacted by the office and/or supervisors to pick up waste or deliver supplies. Some nights and weekend work may be required.
Requirements
- Certification and License Requirements: Current Illinois Driver’s License
- Also preferred: Current Illinois-Licensed Asbestos Worker
- A minimum of two years of experience as a warehouse worker and driver
- Follow safety protocols during all warehouse operations, stocking procedures, and loading and unloading activities to prevent accidents or damage.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry, order picking & packing, and stock management.
- Basic math skills for counting items, measuring quantities, and verifying shipment details efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items safely, and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $28.00 - $29.00 per hour
