Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment across our facilities. This vital role involves performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure that our spaces are spotless, organized, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will bring energy and dedication to their work, contributing to a positive atmosphere for employees, visitors, and clients alike. Whether handling routine cleaning or specialized floor care, you’ll play a key part in supporting the overall cleanliness and functionality of our environment.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility
- Conduct detailed floor care tasks such as buffing, polishing, stripping, and waxing to maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment and cleaning agents for large-scale or specialized areas
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and common areas to promote hygiene and safety
- Assist with custodial responsibilities related to facilities maintenance, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues to maintenance teams
- Support residential painting projects or touch-ups as needed to uphold facility aesthetics
- Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care methods including buffing and polishing
- Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices and basic repair skills is a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
