School Transportation Driver – SBP Permit Required
VIPS RIDE Team is hiring reliable school transportation drivers for the upcoming school year. Drivers will transport students safely to and from school on assigned routes in Chicago and nearby Illinois suburbs.
We are looking for serious, dependable drivers who are available Monday through Friday and can stay consistent for the full school year.

Schedule:
Most routes operate Monday through Friday.
Typical hours:
Morning: 6:30 AM – 9:00 AM
Afternoon: 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Exact times may vary depending on the assigned route.
Requirements:
Applicants must be 21 years old or older.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must have an SBP Permit or be able to obtain one before starting.
Must have a reliable vehicle that is 2016 or newer.
Vehicle must have valid insurance and registration.
Vehicle must be clean, safe, and able to pass inspection.
Must have a clean driving record.
No DUI/DWI history.
No major moving violations.
No serious traffic violations.
No criminal record.
Must pass a background check.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Must be available consistently Monday through Friday.
Must be professional, patient, and safety-focused.
Drug Test Requirement:
All drivers must complete a required drug test at their own expense before starting. After the driver starts the job and successfully completes 2 full weeks of active service, VIPS RIDE will reimburse approved drug test costs and other approved onboarding expenses. Receipts must be provided for reimbursement.
Driver Responsibilities:
Transport students safely to and from school.
Arrive early for every pickup.
Follow assigned route instructions.
Never leave students unattended.
Follow school pickup and drop-off procedures.
Communicate with dispatch immediately if there is any issue.
Keep the vehicle clean and safe.
Maintain professional behavior with students, parents, school staff, and dispatch.
Follow all VIPS RIDE and FirstAlt safety policies.
Vehicle Requirements:
Vehicle must be 2016 or newer.
Vehicle must be clean and reliable.
Vehicle must have valid insurance and registration.
Vehicle must be able to pass inspection.
Some routes may require a sedan, SUV, van, booster seat, car seat, or FirstAlt camera depending on the assignment.
