Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in various welding techniques and a strong understanding of construction and fabrication processes. This role involves working on-site, collaborating with other professionals to ensure high-quality welding and assembly of structural components.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and stick welding on various materials including sheet metal and structural steel.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and ASME codes & standards to determine specifications for welding projects.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines and plasma cutters for fabrication tasks.
- Conduct rigging operations safely while moving materials and equipment as needed.
- Measure components using calipers, micrometers, and basic math skills to ensure precision in fabrication.
- Assemble and install ductwork, piping systems, and other structural elements as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while meeting quality standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction site environments with a focus on welding and fabrication.
- Proficiency in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, stick welding, and soldering.
- Familiarity with mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes.
- Experience operating forklifts and other heavy machinery is preferred.
- Knowledge of pipe threading, machining processes, and assembly techniques is advantageous.
