Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and chemical agents while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines.
- Handle various cleaning equipment and supplies safely, including vacuum cleaners, mops, buffers, and industrial cleaning tools.
- Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy linens, furniture moving, and equipment setup to ensure thorough cleaning coverage.
- Maintain floor care standards by sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing surfaces to uphold a polished appearance.
- Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures to ensure consistency in service delivery and compliance with safety protocols.
- Respond promptly to guest requests or emergency situations following hotel emergency procedures to guarantee guest safety and satisfaction.
- Document completed tasks accurately in housekeeping logs and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or hospitality housekeeping roles with a strong understanding of hotel housekeeping management.
- Knowledge of chemical agent handling, SDS protocols, and industrial cleaning techniques to ensure safe practices at all times.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while managing manual handling tasks efficiently.
- Skilled in floor care techniques including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to respond effectively in urgent situations.
- Strong custodial experience with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness across diverse hotel areas.
