Costello, P.C. is a real estate law firm seeking a civil litigation associate with 5 years of litigation drafting experience to join its fast-growing team. Strong legal drafting skills are a requirement for the position, with the occasional court appearance required.
Qualifications:
· Licensed to practice law in DC and either MD or VA. Licensure in more than one jurisdiction is not mandatory but preferred.
· Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and some transactional documents;
· Possess a strong understanding of civil procedure, efficient legal research, and excellent legal writing skills;
· Ability to manage caseloads effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
· Excellent communication and ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues;
· Eagerness to learn and work closely with senior attorneys at the firm; and
· Ability to work independently and manage tasks without constant supervision.
Job Type: Applications for both full-time (40 hours per week) and part-time (20 hours per week) will be considered.
Work Location: Hybrid office hours (remote and occasional office hours) and court appearances as may be required.
Pay is commensurate with experience and licensure of applicant with a range of $65 to $95 per hour.
