Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Daycare Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for working with young children and a comprehensive understanding of childhood development principles. In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Duties
- Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to stimulate early childhood development.
- Provide attentive toddler care and support children with special educational needs through tailored activities and early intervention strategies.
- Manage classroom environments effectively to ensure safety, cleanliness, and organization while encouraging positive behavior management techniques.
- Engage children in activities that promote social skills, emotional regulation, and physical development aligned with childhood development standards.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to communicate progress and address individual child welfare concerns in accordance with mandated reporting laws.
- Utilize classroom management skills to maintain an inclusive, respectful atmosphere conducive to learning for diverse student populations.
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to preschool teaching, standardized testing procedures, and early childhood education best practices.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with young children in daycare or preschool settings is required.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing teaching strategies tailored for early learners.
- Experience with special education techniques, early intervention programs, and literacy education is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other child-centered educational philosophies is preferred.
- Knowledge of child welfare policies, mandated reporting laws, and classroom safety regulations is essential.
- Proven ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community resources effectively.
