About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager-Electrical/Mechanical to join our growing electrical contracting team. The ideal candidate has a proven track record delivering complex electrical and mechanical projects across diverse environments, with strong technical expertise. Experience in data centers and/or marinas are a plus.
This role requires a strategic, detail-oriented leader capable of overseeing project planning, execution, and closeout while ensuring safety, compliance, financial performance, and exceptional quality standards.

What You'll Do:
- Project Planning (Data Center Focused)
- Develop detailed project plans tailored to data center environments
- Define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource needs
- Incorporate industry-specific requirements including - Data Centers: UPS systems, PDU layout, switchgear, redundancy, (N+1, 2N), grounding, critical-load distribution
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, and internal teams to ensure alignment with safety, operational, and compliance requirements
- Team Leadership
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams of electricians, engineers, subcontractors, and technical specialists
- Conduct daily check-ins to align priorities and resolve technical issues
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance
- Conduct 1:1 meetings to support development and track PPF progress
- Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as primary point of contact for clients, data center facility teams, utility companies, and AHJs.
- Provide regular project updates and manage expectations
- Resolve escalations, RFIs, and permitting questions
- Budget Management
- Monitor material, labor, and equipment costs daily
- Approve material requisitions and track long-lead equipment (switchgear, UPS, pedestals, transformers)
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and prevent budget overruns
- Quality Assurance
- Perform daily QA/QC inspections of marina docks and data centers electrical rooms
- Ensure compliance with NEC Article 555, NFPA 70/70E, TIA-942, and project specifications
- Review testing, commissioning documentation, and deficiency reports
- Risk Management
- Identify technical, financial, operational, and environmental risks unique to data center work
- Develop mitigation plans and adjust project strategies as needed
- Monitor site safety hazards including high-power distribution safety
- Project Monitoring & Control
- Update schedules and progress tracking in project management software (ComputerEase or similar)
- Analyze performance against milestones and implement corrective actions
- Issue daily directives to ensure project timeline compliance
- Resource & Vendor Management
- Assign manpower and confirm resource levels for each active project
- Coordinate subcontractors, deliveries, and equipment logistics
- Resolve material shortages, vendor delays, and procurement issues in real time
Daily Tasks:
- Review schedules, site reports, inspections, and milestone progress
- Coordinate technical details (UPS configurations, conduit routing, pedestal layouts)
- Communicate with utilities, inspectors, and permitting authorities
- Track labor reports, equipment usage, and PO approvals
- Perform daily walkthroughs for QA/QC and compliance verification
- Update risks logs and adjust resources as conditions change
- Maintain communication with all project stakeholders
Pay: $80,000 - $150,000 yearly salary

What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
- 10+ years of electrical/mechanical project management experience, (preferably including): Data centers- UPS, generators, switchgear, redundancy, grounding, cooling towers, chillers
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical codes, systems, and industry best practices
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Proficiency with project management software (ComputerEase a plus)
- PMP or similar certification is a plus
