Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, braising pans, poaching stations, and other culinary tools.
- Maintain strict food safety standards by following sanitizing procedures and proper food handling practices.
- Assist with menu planning and meal preparation for daily service, catering events, or special occasions.
- Execute food production tasks such as braising, grilling, poaching, and other cooking techniques with precision.
- Ensure adherence to recipe specifications and portion control to support high-volume production.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service delivery.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in dietary aide roles or dietary department settings is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food industry environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures.
- Skilled in various cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and meal assembly.
- Excellent knife skills and ability to operate kitchen equipment safely.
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and high-volume food production.
- Background in fine dining or catering environments is a plus.
