About Meredith-Webb
Meredith-Webb is a 75-year-old family-owned commercial print company based in North Carolina. We produce folding cartons, top sheets and labels for corrugated, mailing, and specialty print work for customers across multiple industries. We are a 24/5 operation with 100+ employees, and we're actively building the modern operating disciplines that will carry us through our next chapter.
The opportunity
We are creating a new leadership-team role bringing together the operational disciplines that support our manufacturing operation but sit outside direct production and administration — shipping, receiving, warehousing, inventory management, materials movement, facilities, and information technology. The role has two connected dimensions: running these functions reliably day-to-day, and transforming them where they can meaningfully be improved.
The reinvention of our receiving and warehousing operations is the signature early priority. The role also plays a leading part in our active systems integration work — the current ePS iQuote implementation and the coming Printflow and Auto-Count modules — partnering with Client Services, Finance, and Manufacturing across those efforts.
The role reports directly to the President and sits on the leadership team.
What you would own
- Shipping, receiving, warehouse, and materials handling operations — and the reinvention of how those functions work
- Inventory management and control — raw materials, work-in-process, finished goods
- Facilities — the physical operation of our building, systems, and grounds
- Contracted housekeeping standards and vendor relationship
- Information Technology — leading the Systems Engineer, IT infrastructure and cybersecurity, plus a leading role in MIS integration work
- Continuous Improvement, Lean, and 5S applied across every function in your area
What we're looking for
- Significant experience leading operations, materials, warehousing, logistics, or facilities in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience leading operational transformation — taking functions running one way and rebuilding them into a better operating model
- Direct experience applying Continuous Improvement, Lean, or 5S to material handling, warehousing, or operational support functions
- Experience leading or supporting an MIS, ERP, or manufacturing-systems integration project (Printflow, Auto-Count, iQuote, or comparable platforms is a plus)
- Comfort leading IT alongside other operational functions without needing to be the deepest technical expert in the room
- The ability to sequence transformation thoughtfully — changing how work gets done without breaking what needs to keep running
Bonus if you have
- Direct experience in commercial print, packaging, or comparable production operations
- Track record of leading a measurable Lean or CI transformation in warehousing, materials, or operations support
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP-integrated materials modules
- Facilities-management credentials (IFMA CFM, FMP) or supply chain credentials (APICS CPIM, CSCP)
What we offer
A leadership-team seat at a company with a long history and a serious commitment to its next chapter. Meaningful ownership of a broad functional portfolio with a clear transformation mandate. A collaborative operating environment. Compensation commensurate with experience and the responsibility of the role. Full benefits.
