Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented IT Service Management (ITSM) professional with expertise in ServiceNow and Jira to join our healthcare technology team. Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, and optimize ITSM workflows within ServiceNow and Jira to support healthcare service delivery and incident management.
- PLM upgrades, JIRA, config mgmt, sound knowledge on security
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable solution architectures that integrate with existing systems such as Pegasystems, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases.
- Manage system administration tasks across diverse operating systems including Windows, Linux, and VMware ESXi environments, ensuring high availability and security.
- Implement automation using scripting languages like Python, Bash, Shell Scripting, and utilize DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of network security protocols including VPNs, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, and information security best practices to safeguard healthcare data.
- Support the integration of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture to enhance system interoperability within a service-oriented architecture framework
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow and Jira with a focus on healthcare environments or similar regulated industries.
- Strong background in system architecture design, solution architecture, and systems engineering principles across diverse IT infrastructures.
- Hands-on knowledge of operating systems including Windows Server, Linux distributions, UNIX variants, and virtualization platforms like VMware ESXi.
- Familiarity with database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server (Microsoft SQL Server), MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases; experience with T-SQL or PL/SQL is advantageous.
- Proficiency in scripting languages including Python, Bash (Unix shell), Shell Scripting; experience with automation tools like Jenkins is preferred.
- Understanding of computer networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, load balancing, VPNs, firewalls, REST APIs, microservices architecture, Kubernetes orchestration, and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles relevant to healthcare data protection including information security standards and best practices for safeguarding sensitive information.
- Experience working within Agile methodologies; familiarity with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
- Educational background in computer science or related fields; certifications in ITIL or relevant technical areas are advantageous but not mandatory.
