Property Manager / Corporate Growth Opportunity
Management Rental Group is a high-powered, rapidly growing property management company located in Tarzana, San Fernando Valley. We currently manage 5 properties totaling 200 units throughout Los Angeles County and the San Fernando Valley and are seeking a talented, ambitious, and highly organized individual to join our team as a Property Manager.

The Property Manager / Leasing Agent assists with the day-to-day operations of our portfolio while supporting all aspects of property management. This role serves as a primary liaison between tenants, maintenance personnel, vendors, and management while helping oversee leasing, delinquency, maintenance coordination, compliance, and resident relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Answering incoming phone calls and responding to resident inquiries.
- Scheduling appointments, property tours, inspections, and vendor access.
- Working within property management software (AppFolio experience required).
- Managing leasing activities including showings, applicant screening, verifications, lease preparation, deposits, and move-in coordination.
- Marketing vacant units and assisting with rental pricing and market analysis.
- Creating and managing work orders based on tenant requests, technician reports, inspections, and site visits.
- Drafting notices, memos, and communications regarding lease compliance, preventative maintenance, delinquency, collections, and eviction matters.
- Assisting with rent collection efforts and delinquency management.
- Coordinating unit turnovers and maintaining vacancy readiness.
- Informing tenants of lease obligations, renewal opportunities, and move-out requirements.
- Maintaining logs and reports including:
- Essential Lead Maintenance (EMP)
- Property Project Lists
- Unit Turn Lists
- Inspection Reports
- Conducting annual inspections and periodic property visits.
- Attending and coordinating City, Health Department, Building & Safety, REAP, LAHD, Section 8, and other governmental inspections.
- Ensuring compliance with inspection requirements and follow-up corrective actions.
- Assisting with court appearances and eviction-related matters as required.
- Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management.
- Providing general administrative and office support.
- Participating in on-call emergency response when necessary.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of property management experience.
- Prior AppFolio experience is required.
- Strong understanding of residential and commercial property management operations.
- Knowledge of Los Angeles landlord-tenant regulations, LAHD requirements, REAP, Building & Safety compliance, and related housing regulations.
- Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance.
- High School Diploma required; college education preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and general office software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service background.
- Basic understanding of building systems and maintenance operations.
Required Skills
- Exceptional time management skills.
- Experience efficiently balancing and prioritizing Leasing, Delinquency, and Maintenance responsibilities throughout the day is required.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment is required.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and follow-through.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
