Brookline Nursing & Rehab is a compassionate and resident-focused Skilled Nursing Facility looking for a dedicated Laundry Aide to join our team. If you take pride in maintaining cleanliness and want to make a difference in the daily lives of our residents, we’d love to meet you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, sort, and wash residents’ laundry and facility linens
- Dry, fold, and distribute laundry items appropriately
- Operate commercial washers and dryers safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of laundry areas
- Handle residents’ clothing with care and attention
- Follow infection control and safety guidelines at all times
- Report any malfunctioning equipment or supply needs to the supervisor
Qualifications for a Housekeeper / Laundry Aide:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous laundry or housekeeping experience is a plus (not required)
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs frequently
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions
- Compassionate attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to understand and follow procedures, work assignments, instructions, warnings, and labels
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Adequate strength and endurance to meet the strenuous physical demands of such responsibilities as loading and unloading washers and dryers; coordination necessary to fold clothing items and linen
- Must work every other weekend
- Must work every other Holiday
Housekeeper / Laundry Aide can start as early as NEXT WEEK!
