ABOUT US
At Nurturing Expressions, we help women through many different stages and challenges in their lives, from the first-time mom who is exhausted, overwhelmed, and doesn't know where else to turn, to the second or third-time mom who is still figuring out breastfeeding or pumping and needs someone in her corner.
We become the village for her. When her village is far away, or when she hasn't built one yet, we are the village that changes the experience for her.
Nurturing Expressions is a women's health boutique and durable medical equipment provider that has served the Pacific Northwest for over 21 years. Our Poulsbo location is deeply rooted in the Kitsap Peninsula community, including military families associated with Naval Base Kitsap. We are a WBENC-certified women-owned business, HQAA-accredited, and an in-network provider for many insurance plans. The specialty knowledge and clinical precision we bring are the kind of personal care that big-box retailers simply cannot offer.
We are looking to add someone who combines retail skills with genuine heart, someone who can guide a client to the exact right product and make her feel seen, heard, and reassured.
ROLE MISSION
This is not a transactional retail job. The clients who walk through our door are navigating some of the most tender, confusing, and emotionally loaded moments of their lives. Your job is to meet them there with warmth, with knowledge, and with the kind of care that makes them feel like they've finally found the right place.
You'll work alongside a small, close-knit team that genuinely cares about one another and the clients we serve. At our Poulsbo boutique, you'll get to know your clients and remember their stories. That continuity is part of what makes Nurturing Expressions different from everywhere else.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You are warm by nature, not as a customer service technique, but as a genuine character trait. You are the person who picks up on what a client actually needs, not just what she says she needs. You can hold space for someone who is emotional, sleep-deprived, or frustrated, and you can guide her to a solution without making her feel rushed or dismissed.
You're also operationally sharp. You work accurately, move quickly during peak times, and don't need someone standing over you to know what to do next. You are dependable, adaptable, and you take quality seriously.
This role is a strong fit if you:
- Have genuine retail or customer service experience and actually enjoyed it
- Are comfortable navigating sensitive conversations with patience and grace
- Can move between clinical tasks (fittings, insurance details) and retail floor coverage without losing your footing
- Are available Tues–Fri 10AM–5PM and Saturday 11AM–4PM, and Poulsbo is geographically right for you
- Are comfortable working alongside nursing and pumping mothers and assisting with those sensitive areas
- Want to grow. We invest in people who invest in themselves.
