Promote workplace safety by applying knowledge and industry processes, health and safety laws, as well a enforcing regulations such as OSHA. The Safety Manager will ensure that we have a safe, compliant, and hazard-free job sites by implementing safety programs, training employees, and creating procedures to build a safety culture in the workplace.

Design and build a safety training program that will serve as an educational tool for all company employees.

Maintain the company Safety Manual and sitespecific safety plans (SSSPs).

Proactively identify onsite hazards, analyze risk, and develop solutions to eliminate or minimize them.

Ensure full compliance with federal, state and local safety regulations such as OSHA.

Perform daily onsite inspections and site audits to verify that safety procedures are being followed.

Investigate accidents or near misses to determine root cause and implement corrective actions. Develop and communicate proper procedures to report all incidents.

Promote and Safety First culture by encouraging safe work practices across all levels of staff.

Conduct regular jobsite safety audits and inspections.

Verify compliance with excavation, trenching, confined space, and heavy equipment standards.

Ensure proper implementation of traffic control, erosion control, and utility safety practices.

Work with Superintendents to correct unsafe conditions immediately.

Manage OSHA reporting, logs (300/300A/301), and insurance documentation.

Coordinate with insurance carriers, legal counsel, and regulatory agencies as needed.

This positions required 6+ years of experience in the Construction industry

A Bachelors degree in Occupational Health or Construction Manager could be used in lieu of years of experience
