Here at Saco Falls Management, we manage some of the best rental properties in Southern Maine and Seacoast New Hampshire. Our mission is to make the care of our Residents the central focus of our organization. We strive to create a rental experience far exceeding our Residents' expectations, both in how we maintain our properties, and in our responsiveness to your needs. While our headquarters is in downtown Portland, we maintain a strong and regular presence at our properties.
We are looking for 1 full-time janitor. Responsibilities include common area cleaning, outside pickup, vacant apartment cleaning upon turns, light maintenance, and other property maintenance as needed. Work is performed in Lewiston.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Ability to follow all safety rules and procedures
· Previous custodial experience desired
· Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
· Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
· Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
· Excellent customer service skills
· Dependability and initiative
· Valid driver's license required and reliable transportation
· Ability to work as a member of a team and diverse community
· Present a clean & professional appearance (company shirts provided)
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc)
· Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
· Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
· Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
· Make adjustments and minor repairs
· Stock and maintain supply rooms
· Cooperate with the rest of the staff
· Follow all health and safety regulations
· Evenings and weekend hours are available but not required
· Includes travel from property to property each workday- transportation required.
· Ability to work overtime when needed
· Indoor and outdoor work required
· Position involves frequent movement, including walking, standing, bending, twisting, shoveling, reaching and lifting
· Position involves using ladders, backpack vacuums, chemical cleaning solutions, mops, and buffers.
· Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
