Sous Chef/Cook II
Location: Asheville
CooperRiis's kitchen offers our team members a creative environment for our meal preparation using fresh, local, and organic wholes and also promotes a supportive team environment. We offer set shifts so our staff know their hours are guaranteed each week and they can count on a consistent start and end of all of their shifts. The floater position is working shift between our two campuses on a schedule determined in advance. We also offer a full benefits package which includes generous PTO and sick time accruals!

Pay: Starting at $18.50 per hour and increases based on experience

Responsibilities:
-
Timely preparation and service of scheduled meals and snacks

Creativity of meal preparation and planning using fresh, local, and organic whole foods

Maintains cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment

Follows all applicable health code regulations

Ability to accommodate specific dietary needs

Assists in the dish room as needed

Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager
Qualifications:
-
Associates Degree in Culinary Arts and/or 2-5 years of experience

Thorough knowledge of whole food cuisine

Ability to work as a team and communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Experience working with adults coping with mental health challenges is preferred
