Civil Litigation Associate Attorney
Position Overview
A growing civil litigation practice is seeking a motivated attorney to join its litigation team. This role offers the opportunity to handle a diverse caseload from inception through resolution while working on a variety of complex civil matters.
The successful candidate will manage all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings and motions, conducting legal research, handling written discovery, taking and defending depositions, participating in mediations, appearing in state and federal court, and developing case strategy in collaboration with senior attorneys.
The practice includes a broad range of civil litigation matters, including commercial disputes, insurance defense, premises liability, construction litigation, professional liability, product liability, personal injury, and insurance coverage issues.
Qualifications

Active license to practice law in North Carolina.

3+ years of experience preferred.

Experience in civil litigation is required.

Experience with commercial litigation, insurance defense, professional liability, construction litigation, or related practice areas is preferred.

Deposition, mediation, and courtroom experience are valued but not required.

Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

Strong organizational and time management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple matters simultaneously.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
