$180/day Per Diem (for qualified travelers)
Overtime
Time and a half after 40 hours
Double time on Sundays
Overtime is voluntary and offered through sign-up sheets
Shift Options
1st Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
2nd Shift: 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
Guaranteed 40 hours per week
Position Summary
We are hiring experienced Marine Pipe Welders to perform military-standard pipe welding in a shipyard environment. Candidates must be skilled in TIG (GTAW) and Stick (SMAW) welding and be capable of passing an X-ray quality 6G restricted pipe weld test.
This position requires welders who can produce high-quality welds while working safely in confined and physically demanding environments.
Job Responsibilities
Perform 6G restricted pipe welds on carbon steel
TIG root and hot pass using ER70S-3 wire
Stick fill and cap using 11018 electrodes
Weld 6" Schedule 80 carbon steel pipe
Read blueprints and weld symbols
Produce X-ray quality welds
Perform socket welds when required
Follow all shipyard safety and quality procedures
Minimum Qualifications
At least 3 years of marine or heavy industrial pipe welding experience
Experience with TIG and Stick welding
Ability to pass an X-ray quality restricted 6G weld test
Experience welding carbon steel
Ability to work in confined spaces
Purge welding experience is a plus (stainless and copper-nickel)
