Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, providing them with menus and information about daily specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring proper presentation and quality standards.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Manage multiple tables efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables after guests depart.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and sanitation standards throughout service.
- Assist in training new staff members on restaurant policies, procedures, and best practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar point-of-sale systems is highly desirable.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy setting.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is essential.
- Culinary experience or kitchen experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
