Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Knitting Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining knitting machinery to produce high-quality textile products. Your expertise will ensure that production runs smoothly, safety standards are upheld, and quality standards are consistently met. Responsibilities
- Operate knitting machines efficiently, ensuring continuous production flow according to manufacturing standard operating procedures.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the production process, including visual color comparisons and measuring material dimensions to meet strict quality standards.
- Interpret technical drawings and production documents to set up machines correctly and troubleshoot issues promptly.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, adjustments, and cleaning to maximize operational efficiency and prevent downtime.
- Handle materials using appropriate handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks, ensuring safe and accurate material movement within the workspace.
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including wearing protective gear, adhering to safety standards in production, and reporting hazards immediately.
- Assist with packaging finished products according to specifications and prepare items for shipment or storage.
- Record production data accurately using data entry systems, monitor machine performance metrics, and maintain detailed logs of operations.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying waste reduction opportunities and optimizing workflow processes.
Experience
- Prior experience operating textile machinery or sewing machines is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Familiarity with quality inspection techniques such as visual color comparison and measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing environments, including proper material handling procedures and use of safety equipment.
- Warehouse experience including the operation of forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and data entry tasks required for accurate production tracking.
- Experience with screen printing or machining processes is advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
