Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service at the deli and bakery counters
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established standards, ensuring freshness and quality
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales transactions and order processing
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including processing cash, credit/debit card payments, and giving change
- Upsell products by suggesting complementary items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness of the workspace, including food handling areas, kitchen equipment, and retail surfaces in compliance with sanitation standards
- Assist in food safety management by following proper sanitation procedures and handling food products safely
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, cashiering, or retail sales is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills for cash handling, register balancing, and retail math calculations
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
- Previous quick service or fast-food restaurant experience is advantageous but not required
