What you'll be doing
You'll work at the Military & Family Readiness Center helping service members who are separating or retiring from the Air Force. Your main job is scheduling, data entry, and front-desk customer service — making sure service members get signed up for their required transition classes and appointments on time.
Key responsibilities
- Contact service members within 24–18 months of separation to schedule required TAP appointments
- Manage all TAP workshop scheduling in AFFIRST and Outlook calendar systems
- Provide continuous live phone coverage and monitor the TAP organizational inbox (respond within 1 business day)
- Set up classrooms at least 30 minutes before workshops; manage daily issuance and recovery of government computer assets
- Verify attendance twice daily and record in AFFIRST within 3 business days of workshop completion
- Manage the TAP Events system lifecycle: create sessions, update data, assign attendees
- Provide front-desk reception and direct visitors to appropriate M&FRC personnel
- Support EFAC (Emergency Family Assistance Center) operations when activated
- Maintain strict confidentiality per the Privacy Act of 1974 and CUI handling protocols
Required qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of administrative, scheduling, or data entry experience (military, federal, or equivalent corporate environment preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams (including virtual classroom setup)
- Strong written communication skills; ability to produce documents meeting Air Force writing standards
- Basic understanding of military protocol, hierarchy, and Air Force/DAF terminology
- Excellent customer service skills with ability to work with a diverse clientele
- Must successfully pass a federal background investigation and obtain/maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
Background check requirement
You must be able to pass a federal background investigation. This is required to receive a Common Access Card (CAC), which gives you access to the base and government computers. The background check process will begin on your first day — you do not need it completed before you start.

Pay: $24.57 - $29.59 per hour
